“Wake up Mom, it’s already too late, wake up Mom.” She nudged her mother now for quite some time trying to wake her up.
“Hmm.” A weak voice emerged from her mother.
“Look Golmak, Mom is not waking up.” Loimi nudged Golmak.
“She will wake up, give her some time. Meanwhile, find your things which you will need for sure.
The sand was silvery, shimmered like there was a lot of mica mixed with the sand, yet it was not sticky or soggy but dry and soft. Grudgingly Loimi began collecting all her belongings, specially her water bottles, the compass, the writing pad. She also began collecting her mom’s things.
There was no water around and the ocean seemed to have bended by the beach and yet there was light around. Light seemed to be streaming through the water since in the darkness there was not much connection to the outside and the only way out was through the waters.
“Put on your torchlights and connect your suits to electrify the wires, that way it will light up like a halogen bulb in some time. It’s quite dim here.” Golmak ordered.
Loimi abided as was told and she even did the arrangement for Limie. There was a small socket and two wires ending in a knob which were to go inside the socket. She put them inside and waited for the suit to light up.
“There is also someone else other than us here on the island.” Limie woke up struggling to sit up.
“Wait what, how do you know?”
“I saw three more bodies fall after you and Loimi fell down.” I saw those bodies.
“You are nuts, who else would be here? You might have been dreaming. Free falling with zero gravity is not easy.” Golmak smiled trying to lighten the situation.
“I am not sure what happened to you but I am sure I felt completely conscious of my surroundings. So you better go and find out who they are instead of trying to negate me for your sweet little comfortable place.” Limie now was up on her feet and was adjusting herself to the new surrounding.
Golmak tried scratching his head but then his suit did not allow him to, so he scratched the suit instead.
“Okay let me have a look around. You both stay here, I will walk around.” In case I text you to be somewhere do come up.”
Golmak left to sniff around and Limie and Loimi stuck to each other drinking water and chewing nuts which they carried with them in their zipped pockets.
“Do you think we did the right thing Mom by following Golmak?” Loimi was sipping water.
After a deep breath Limie replied saying, “I don’t know baby, all I am trying to do is find a safe place for you and me. SInce Golmak took us up he is our only hope and it is a logical estimate after seeing what he has done for us. Additionally we also need to know why such strange incidents are taking over our lives. We need to find out.”
“Can I tell you something Momma?” Loimi asked.
“Yes darling.” Limie brushed Loimi’s suit slightly.
“I met two witches the other day, I am quite certain the bodies you saw falling were theirs as well. The third one I am not sure.” Loimi exclaimed.
“Okay, but you met witches, I mean how do you know they are witches and why did you meet them?”
“I don’t know why I met them and they gave me a rhyme and told me to call me when I felt scared or insecure.”
“Did you call them now?” Limie asked.
“I did.” Loimi nodded.
