“So, are we ready?” Golmak was ready for sure. He jumped up and down a few times since he felt like a child. He barely looked old and often how we feel inside reflects on our face so well.
“Yes.” I guess so, Limie took a deep breath as they stood atop the ship.
“Yes, yes.” Loimi was distracted since she still was not very comfortable with the strap of the bag that hung on her back.
“One round of checks we are going to run before I close down the deck. So, here it goes….
Who has the ropes?”
“I have.” Loimi shouted.
“Who has the food and the beacons of light?”
“I have.” Limie chirped. “Additionally I have the clamps, extra shoes, water bottles, first aid box and all the small tools including the rope ladders, torches, solar drilling machine that you have invented.”
“Wow! I am impressed. So you have followed your list. Now it’s my turn. I have all the extra clothing, the tent, water bottles, oxygen cylinder, goggles, face masks and I have the most important stuff- the jewel key to open all locks, the master key. Thisshhhhh………thishhhhhh……” He punched his fist one against the other.
“So, let’s start our journey and if I don’t make it, open the deck with one of the several duplicate keys that hide in different locations as already shared with you, retrieve the permissions hidden in the lower deck of the ship and keep riding on. This ship is for you and Loimi, a gift from your brother who would be happy knowing, he didn’t die alone or in vain.”
“Here’s a quick prayer to the five elements of the Universe. We should pray to them since we need them more than anyone today.”
Golmak winked at both of them.
Quickly, he blabbered and conjured words and ended it in five short sentences.
It began with
“O space, give us refuge,
O’ Fire keep us safe from harm,
O’ water show us the way.
O’ air be there for us and
Oi’ Earth, bring us back home.”
But then, Loimi’s eyes were closed longer than the other two but then Limie jerked her back to senses.
She said, “Get up Loimi, wake up.” Limie nudged her back and Loimi opened her eyes with a broad grin flashing across her face immediately.
They drove a taxi to reach near Mount Agung which was close to a 2 hour drive from the port.
