“What are you here for?” One of the officers asked Golmak.

“I am searching for the Biranorr.” Golmak was counting the cash before giving it off to the officers.

“Ha!” The men laughed all at once.

“What?” Golmak gave off the money.

“Boys, this man sounds crazy, Biranorr! Do you even believe in mythology?” One man said.

“Biranorr…hahahahaha…..Man I had the laugh of the day. No seriously, where are you from, you just said?”

“New Zealand.” Golmak replied.

“What is your full name? Ammmm……” He flipped through the pages of the ship’s records.

“It’s Christopher Alwin Park.” Golmak said.

“Ahhh! So Christopher are you a grown up man?” Each high fived with the others in the group.

“Look, if you can’t help me, please don’t stand here. I have paid you. It’s nice if you can leave. Already you have dirtied my ship enough. I have to clean all your footsteps.”

They looked at each other and laughed again. The whole troop left the ship and their voices wore the cover of excitement.

But there was one man who had been standing all this while behind them, as they left, he kind of came forward.

“There is a temple paying homage to the Biranorrs and I have heard there is a book in there.

Noone ever found the book. All the best, maybe if you can find it.”

“I know that and thank you.”

“You are welcome. If you need any help you can call me. I stay close by. By the way all temples of Bali have the faces of Biranorrs on them. Those big eyes and those round cheeks, I think my grandmother used to say those are Biranorrs.” He smiled a little.

“They are far beautiful creatures I have heard, but humans cannot see them completely since the human visual field is limited. What the humans can do is see a part of them and a twisted form of some other parts, with them taking up strange shapes. So the Lion and the cat appear such in our land which is the truth but then they also have another truer shape, their own shape.

That is why the religious books say, “Every being on Earth is a mirror to God’s own form. If that is true then how can humans look different from Lions?” he smiled. This time the officer smiled back too.

“I don’t think anyone would buy that here now, but yes, I totally do not deny it also.”

“By the way I am Nolan, this is my number, you can call me anytime buddy.

Nice to meet you.” Both of them shook hands and off Nolan went down the ship.
