Birranorrs and their beginning
“You guys hid it from me?” He could not believe what he saw and thought.
“Yes, Golmak, it was not easy to trust you. Why I initially agreed to come onboard with you was the fact that I could leave Kiribati. I will talk later about the adoption part.” She looked out into the Sea.
“She is adopted? Does she know that?” Golmak turned his gaze to where Limie stood. Loimi had gone off to the kitchen since the big beaked bird had returned again, it’s red beak, it’s black button-like eyes knew that Loimi was bringing food.
“Let’s be sure of one thing. I am not here to hurt you both, I am just trying to understand and work around the Biranorrs and their families. I have studied long and to make it very clear your child floated up to my small ship. Had I not saved her, she would have been lost as per the plan. I guess I had to save her, which I did, so I was supposed to save you and I am here to save you.” His face had not changed but his tone had, it surely was not the gay voice but rather an offended tone.
“Look, we had no intention of staying on board, we had thought we would not return to the ship once you reached land. I had come to tell you that indirectly. Money was an issue, I had come to tell you but then the Sea was swollen. Now I don’t know, but yes I know one thing that maybe I can trust you. If this was not a trick of any kind and obviously not conjured by you, you could be a trustworthy person.”
“Have you ever seen such water marks before on any hands?”
“No, Golmak I haven’t.” Limie nodded, her face faced the floor, she heaved out a heavy breath.
“At least that part I can’t do. I barely know computers and that’s why I am behind the desk with this huge pile of paper.” He spread his hands to the piles of paper. Seeing his papers not wafting around, Golmak went to them instinctively.
“How come they are so much in place? What happened, the wind is fast here?” Golmak went down to check and the left top edge of the papers were glued together by a transparent, almost invisible glue and while he tried lifting the pile to have a closer look, he noted that the same transparent glue was sticking to the right lower corner sticking the pile on the table.
(Birranorrs) Golmak had to just apply a little pressure to peel off that end from the table.
“Great, they stuck it as they went.” Golmak was looking at the thin transparent glue piece hanging loose on the right corner of the pages.
“I can’t believe this at all.” Limie went nearer to touch the shining glue.
“Yes, same here.” Golmak went through the papers once again before placing them back on the table. He wiped his forehead and placed the towel back on the handle of his chair.
“What is the Biranorrs? Which clan?”
“The largest form of Rayfish which do not look like rayfish yet Biranorrs are fortunately their leaders thus making the rayfish, one of the most mysterious creatures of Earth.” Golmak described in his quite tangible enthusiastic tone.
“Wow! I didn’t know that.” Limie left the room, wiping her face, neck and forehead on her yellow T-shirt hanging loose over her body.
“Come for lunch. It’s already two in the afternoon Golmak.”
“Coming.” Golmak shouted back before the door closed behind Limie.
